Meta Ads

Meta ads optimization tool that catches losing ads early

Every day Portantis checks your Facebook and Instagram ads, shows the changes worth making and why, and makes only the ones you approve or your rules allow.

Why it matters

A losing ad keeps spending until someone notices, and the ad platform cannot see the owner's stock, cash or profit.

Portantis can, because it also runs the store's orders, stock and money, so every ad suggestion fits the real business. Nothing changes without the owner's OK, so they stay in charge of their budget. It was built and proven inside a live store that runs on it every day.

A losing ad spends all day before anyone notices

Checking ads by hand means opening the ad manager, scanning columns and guessing which numbers to trust. By the time you spot a losing ad, its budget is usually gone.

The costly mistakes repeat: ads keep running for products that are sold out, new ads get switched off before their sales are counted, and comments under the ads go unanswered while shoppers decide whether to buy.

A short list of ad changes, each with the reason

Every day the Action Center lists the changes worth making: stop a losing ad, restart a good one or change a budget. Each suggestion says why, and you can see every ad that was checked, even the ones left alone.

You approve the exact change. Portantis makes it once, checks that it went through and later shows you how it turned out. Approve many changes together or pick the time they happen. Every suggestion stays inside the limits you set for spend, number of changes, stock and cash.

Around the list sit the tools to build and fix ads. Launch many ads at once from your library of images and videos, build a whole new campaign as one draft that starts paused, copy a winning ad, or swap a tired ad for a fresh video.

Meta Ads has its own section in the menu. The Action Center holds the daily list, Meta Studio is where you build and launch ads, and Comment moderation handles comments. You also find your images and videos, which ads brought which orders, and a history of every change. Creative Pulse, which shows which kinds of ads sell, sits under Forge.

Every suggestion gets a second opinion, then you choose

AI picks the ad changes worth making, and a second AI checks each one on its own. You see both views and their reasons before you choose what to apply.

AI also writes ad texts in your voice, flags risky promotional wording and shows the cost first. It sorts comments under your ads into complaints, questions and spam, and drafts replies in your Page's voice. Automatic replies can be switched on only once the drafts have proven accurate.

How it works

  1. The daily list arrivesPortantis checks your ads and lists the changes worth making, each with the reason behind it.
  2. A second opinionEach suggestion gets its own second check, so you see both views and their reasons side by side.
  3. You approve the exact changeApprove the exact pause, restart or budget change, then make it now or pick a time.
  4. Made once, then followedThe change is made once and checked. Later you see how it turned out, with a record of who approved it.

Meta Ads, feature by feature

Daily Facebook and Instagram ad review

Each day you get one list for your Facebook and Instagram ads: where to grow, what to stop, which winners to protect and which ads to watch, with the reason beside each.

  • Pick a goal for each ad account: protect profit, balanced or grow faster. The suggestions follow the goal you pick.
  • Each suggestion says what would change, what you can expect and how to undo it.
  • You also see every active ad that was checked and why it was left alone, so nothing is skipped quietly.
  • Turn on the AI second opinion and each suggestion gets its own second check. Nothing changes on your ads until you approve it.

The daily check of your ads is done before you arrive, and no ad is called a winner or a loser too early.

Approve ad changes, with a record of each one

You approve the exact change on the exact ad. Portantis makes it once, checks that it went through, and keeps a record of who approved it and how it turned out.

  • Review many changes together and approve them in one go. Anything blocked or not ticked is never sent.
  • Pick the exact time a change should happen. It goes ahead only if the reason for it still holds.
  • A pause only switches the ad off. Nothing is deleted, and the rest of the campaign stays as it was.
  • Later you see whether each change made money, lost money or is still too early to tell.

Changes go live when you choose, exactly as you reviewed them, with a record of who approved what and how it turned out.

Stop losing Facebook ads automatically

Set the lowest return you accept for an ad account or a single product. Portantis suggests stopping ads that fall below it, or stops them itself if you switch that on, but only once the loss is clear.

  • You choose: suggestions only, or automatic stops inside the limits you set.
  • New ads get time to prove themselves before they can be stopped.
  • Ads with a good track record are never stopped automatically. They stay your decision.
  • A product can have its own rules, and you can switch it back to the account rules at any time.

A clear loser stops inside your limits without anyone watching, and proven winners are never stopped because of a bad patch.

A fair test for every new image and video

New images and videos get a fair start. Portantis compares what each one costs per order with your target and flags the ones losing money, so you can pause them before they eat your test budget.

  • Set the target cost per order for each product, or approve the one Portantis suggests from the product's real profit and the margin you want to keep.
  • A slow first day or sales that show up late do not get a good ad switched off.
  • Ads that are clearly selling are protected.
  • When a product is running short of ads that sell, Portantis suggests ideas for new ones. Making and publishing them stay your decisions.

New ads survive a slow start and late sales, while real losers are flagged before they drain the test budget.

Pause Facebook ads when a product sells out

Switch on stock protection for a product and its ads pause when it sells out. When stock is back, you check the relaunch and approve it with one click.

  • Before you switch it on, you see exactly which ads it would pause.
  • Budgets and ads are kept, so nothing has to be rebuilt later.
  • When one ad sells several products, it comes back only when all of them are in stock again.
  • The ad comes back at the budget it had before the pause.

Budget stops going to a product you cannot ship, and restocked winners come back without rebuilding the campaign.

Set limits on ad budgets and daily changes

For each ad account you set the most it may spend a day, how many changes a day are allowed and how long to wait between them. Every suggestion stays inside those limits.

  • Everything starts switched off. You choose which kinds of changes Portantis may suggest, and whether you see them as a preview or for approval.
  • You set the highest daily budget for each account. No raise can go past it.
  • Budget raises come in small steps, never big jumps.
  • Raises are held when your stock would run out too soon, or when the cash you have available would not cover the extra spend.

Budgets cannot run past the ceiling you set, and growth stops when stock or cash would not cover the extra spend.

Moderate Facebook ad comments with AI

AI reads the comments under your ads, sorts them and suggests a reply or a hide. Everything waits for your review until the drafts have proven themselves, and you switch on automatic hiding and replying separately.

  • Comments are sorted into harmful ones such as spam, scams and abuse, complaints, product questions and everything else.
  • Price and stock answers use the product's current price and stock. If it is not clear which product someone means, the question waits for you.
  • You set the voice, the reply rules, the claims that must never be made and when a comment goes to a person. You see the cost before Portantis learns your Page's voice.
  • Messages that start from your ads get reply drafts too, and those are never sent without you.

Shoppers get correct price and stock answers sooner, and your team starts from sorted comments with drafts ready.

Launch Facebook ads in bulk with AI copy

Pick a product, choose its best images and videos, and publish or schedule many ads at once, each with AI-written texts checked for risky promotional wording before anything goes live.

  • Each image or video gets several ready texts and headlines, in your voice and your language.
  • Risky promotional wording is flagged and must be fixed before anything is published.
  • You see the cost before any text is written.
  • New ads start paused unless you choose otherwise, and daily budgets follow the price rule you set.

A product launch that meant writing texts and building ads one by one becomes a single batch you review once.

Relaunch past winning Facebook ads

Choose products and Portantis gathers their best past ads into one new campaign, created paused for your review. It suits restocked products and old winners that were switched off.

  • Choose products by stock, price and whether they are advertising now, and decide whether to use past winners only.
  • You decide what counts as a winner and how much the new campaign may spend a day.
  • Before anything is created you see the whole campaign: products, ads and budget. Switching it on is a separate step.
  • If something changed while you were reviewing, that product is held back so you can check it again.

Proven ads come back in one campaign you review, with no digging through old campaigns to rebuild them.

Facebook ad growth tests judged on profit Beta

Try one change to grow a product while the setup that already makes money keeps running. You set the extra daily budget, the total extra spend and the most loss you accept.

  • Test a bigger budget, a campaign of its own for the product, a new ad idea or another single change.
  • The result is judged on the product's real profit, not only on ad numbers.
  • Reaching a limit you set asks you to review the test. It does not stop spending by itself, so stopping waits for your OK.
  • You set one test budget for the account, so tests running at the same time never count on the same money.

You find out whether a bigger budget or a new idea really adds profit, with the downside you accept agreed before it starts.

What you can do with Meta Ads

  • Schedule tomorrow's ad changes tonight

Review your changes in the evening, pick the time they should happen and go home. Each one happens once at that time, and only if the reason for it still holds.

  • Keep ads running through stock swings

Turn on stock protection for your best sellers. When one sells out, only its ads pause and the budgets are kept. When new stock arrives, you bring the ads back with one click.

  • Set ad targets from real product profit

Instead of guessing what you can pay for an order, approve the target Portantis suggests for each product from its real profit and the margin you want to keep. New ads are then measured against it.

  • Plan the month's ad budget

Set a period and a total budget. Portantis shows what you have spent so far, the daily pace that lands you on plan, and which products are ready for more budget.

  • Answer price questions under ads automatically

Once the reply drafts have proven accurate, switch on automatic replies. Price and stock questions are then answered with current details, and anything unclear still waits for you.

  • Bring back winners for restocked products

After a restock, pick the products, keep winners only, and Portantis builds one paused campaign from their best past ads. Review it, then switch it on.

Questions about Meta Ads

What is Meta Ads in PortantisAI?

Meta Ads is the PortantisAI module that checks your Facebook and Instagram ads every day and lists the changes worth making, each with its reason. You approve the exact change and Portantis makes it. The same place holds the tools to build and launch ads, and the moderation of comments under your ads.

Will Portantis change my Meta ads without asking?

Not unless you set a rule for it. Pauses, restarts and budget changes wait for your OK on the exact change. Protections you switch on, such as stopping losing ads or pausing a product's ads when it sells out, act on their own inside your limits. Bringing ads back after a restock still waits for you.

Why does every suggestion get a second AI opinion?

So you never rely on one view. Each suggestion gets its own second check, with its own reasons. When the two disagree, you see both side by side and decide which to apply.

How does it avoid switching off a new ad too early?

New images and videos get a fair chance before they are judged, and they are judged on your real sales, not only on what the ad platform reports. If late sales change the picture after a pause, you are asked whether to turn the ad back on.

Does it handle Instagram and ad comments too?

Yes. Meta Ads covers advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Comment moderation sorts comments under your ads into complaints, questions and spam, drafts replies in your Page's voice and hides abusive comments once you approve. Proof from a live store running Portantis: 96% of ad comments read and sorted by AI.

Can it scale winning ads by itself?

Not yet. Scaling winners automatically, where profitable products get fresh videos and a bigger budget, is coming. Today you can copy a winning ad, bring back past winners in one campaign that starts paused, and plan your ad budget for the month. Product growth tests are in beta.

Can I use Meta Ads today?

Portantis is in closed beta and runs every day on a live store. New businesses join through a small founding cohort that the team onboards by hand, starting from the waitlist on the Portantis website.

What if Meta and my store show different sales?

Portantis looks at your real store sales too, so an ad is not stopped just because the ad platform counted fewer orders. If late sales change the picture after a pause, you are asked whether to turn the ad back on.

Can Portantis raise my ad budgets?

It suggests raises and you approve each one. Raises come in small steps and never go above the most you set for a day. They are held when your stock would not last or your available cash cannot cover the extra spend.

What does the 0 to 100 ad score tell me?

Each campaign and ad gets a simple score from 0 to 100 that shows how it is doing next to your other ads. You can see at a glance whether it is rising or falling.

How do I connect my ad accounts and Facebook Pages?

You connect with Facebook, then pick the ad accounts and the Pages you advertise from. Your ad results then stay up to date on their own. Comment moderation and ad chats ask for their own permission when you switch them on.

20 founding stores. Then the waitlist closes.

Meta Ads is part of Portantis, now in closed beta. We set every founding store up by hand.
